Frits Henningsen Windsor Chairs by Carl Hansen, Danish 1950’s

A graceful pair of Frits Henningsen Windsor chairs made by Carl Hansen in beech with new mustard linen cushions, Danish 1950’s. A really lovely design a modern take on a traditional British piece of furniture, given a modern twist by Frits Henningsen one of the great Danish furniture designers of the twentieth century. Finished off nicely with the mustard linen cushions we had made to add a nice bit of colour and extra comfort.
When we took delivery the chairs were in a bit of a state being partly painted so we cleaned and sanded them to remove all the old dirt and finished them off with Danish oil to bring out the colour of the wood and protect them for years to come.
As you can see from the pictures beautiful shape and form, a modern take on a classic. A beautiful piece of mid century design in an excellent original condition.
