Mid Century Rosewood Secretaire by Erling Tourvits, Danish 1950’s

A fine mid century rosewood secretaire designed by Erling Tourvits, Danish 1950’s. A beautiful piece of danish design a lovely practical secretaire/ bureau with amazing deep rich colour and patina to the rosewood. A single top shelf above a letter/small paper rack, central locking compartment with drop down door and 3 small drawers. Below 3 drawers and pull out writing surface above 3 large drawers.
A really beautiful example of Danish design we removed all the elements and carefully cleaned. We then stripped back the original dull dirty finish oiled and finished with French polish and wax to really refresh the piece and make the most of the rich colours and patina of the rosewood.
A really stunning and practical mid century rosewood secretaire made with great attention to detail by the original Danish cabinet maker, conscientiously restored to its original condition.
