A Borge Mogensen Armchair & Stool 2254 in Oak, Danish 1950’s

A handsome Borge Mogensen high back armchair and matching footstool in oak model no. 2254 deigned for Fredericia Stolefabrik.  This piece has been lovingly restored and finished in a traditional Danish soap finish. A natural finish that is so in keeping with oak furniture from this period. It gives a lovely soft fell to the wood while protecting and bringing out the natural colour and grain.
The cushions have been reupholstered in a beautiful blue Danish Kvadrat wool fabric with matching blue wool head cushion. Everything has been cleaned and restored to perfect condition.
A beautiful piece a design classic in an excellent original condition.

The fabric used to reupholster the cushions for the chair and footstool is a blue Danish wool by Kvadrat, Steel Cut Trio. We feel it is abit of a bold choice but looks amazing against the oak. It was quite had to photograph so we have included the link to Kvadrat’s website.
