Hello my name is Oliver Brookes the founder and owner of Alto Stile.
Mid century modern is a fascinating period of furniture design. Some truly original ideas came from the 1940’s to the 1970’s, and this is something that really interests me.
This is why I started Alto Stile to showcase unusual vintage furniture. To source the finest pieces, restore, photograph and place on my website so that others can share my enjoyment.
I have a comprehensive background in vintage furniture. I gained a degree in Fine Arts Valuation at Solent University specialising in post war design.
More recently I have worked for modern furniture retailer Skandium and Lots Road auction house both here in London.
These two work placements gave me an insight into what is popular in the market today, being the inspiration for me to take the next step to form Alto Stile.
