Hans Wegner Highback Armchair & Footstool GE375 in Oak, Danish 1960’s

A lovely Hans Wegner armchair and footstool in oak by Getama. A really nice piece by one of the heavyweights of mid century Scandinavian design. Lovely lines and curves to the armchair and footstool finished in solid oak with rich colour and patina. The cushions have been reupholstered in light yellow Hallingadal fabric from Kvadrat. A lovely soft shade of yellow that doesn’t overpower the light oak.
The chair and stool are in excellent condition being cleaned and finished in an oil finish, with new Pirelli webbing for the seat
A lovely piece of design that has been restored by us to perfection, and very comfortable as well.

The fabric used for the cushions is a Danish Fabric Hallingdal 65 by Kvadrat. This fabric is synonymous with Danish furniture being designed in 1965 by Nana Ditzel who was responsible for some famous furniture designs herself. A rare woman designer in a male-dominated field this fabric has been used extensively throughout the years and is of exceptionally high standard.
