Hans Wegner 2 Seater Sofa by Getama, Danish 1960’s

A charming 2 seater Hans Wegner sofa in oak with its original brown leather upholstery, Danish 1960’s.  An elegant piece of design by one of the most famous furniture designers of the period Hans Wegner. A beautiful solid oak frame with nice colour and patina complimented well by the original patinated brown leather upholstery.
As with all our pieces we like to bring them back to their original condition and ensure they are fit for purpose for years to come. We took the sofa apart and carefully cleaned, finishing the oak with a wax polish to bring out the colour of the grain but in an understated way. The leather was gently cleaned and nourished with creams to make it nice and supple and soft to the touch.
A fine piece of mid century design this Hans Wegner sofa is a lovely comfortable piece of furniture in an excellent original condition.
