A really magnificent vitrine / display cabinet in rosewood by Italian architect Paolo Buffa.
Oval glass fronted top section decorated with various motives, interior silk backed with two glass shelves.
lozenge decorated serpentine fronted bottom section of two doors holding three glass shelves on tapering legs with brass sabots and escutcheons.
A really beautiful piece of Italian design made by skilled cabinetmakers in Cantu Italy. You can see the influence that English Regency furniture in the design, but has been given a thoroughly modern Italian twist by Paolo Buffa.
Bearing the La Permanente Mobili Cantu mark on the inside door, in an excellent original condition.

A really stunning piece of furniture. The skill of the cabinetmaker is superb with so much intricate work, showing Italian craftsmanship at its very best.
An excellent piece of Paolo Buffa design, very elegant with beautiful decoration and a high shine french polish finish, very 50’s Italian.
You can see the influence of Regency furniture had on Italian design in this piece. Buffa has taken this and stretched the forms so that the proportions are slightly different, like a modern take on a classic Saville Row suit.
